AbujaNigeria’s food inflation reached 16.06% year-on-year in April, above the 15.69% headline rate, the National Bureau of Statistics reported.
Two and a half years after President Tinubu removed the fuel subsidy, core prices eased to 1.03% monthly growth but food costs remain the binding constraint.
Rural inflation ran at 16.36% versus 15.40% in cities.
